Prisma Health Developmental Pediatrics–Center for Developmental Services

Our specialists provide consultation, evaluation and management of the following conditions in children:

• Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
• Autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
• Developmental delays (language, motor, cognitive, and social)
• Intellectual disabilities
• Cerebral palsy
• Hearing and other sensory impairments

In addition, specialists treat children with developmental and behavioral challenges associated with medical conditions including:

• Prematurity
• Genetic disorders (e.g., Down syndrome, Fragile X syndrome)
• Neurologic disorders
• Chronic illnesses (e.g., sickle cell anemia, HIV)
• Spina bifida

In addition to our clinical services, Prisma Health Developmental Pediatrics is committed to education, research and advocacy to ensure that every child in our region has the opportunity to reach their full potential. These activities include our fellowship training program and close partnerships with the Help Me Grow program and the Institute for Child Success.

The goal of the initial visit is to understand your child’s strengths and needs, determine what is typical and what is not, and determine which services your child may need to grow, learn, and develop to the best of his or her ability.

Depending on the presenting and/or referral concerns, our evaluation process will involve an extensive review of the concerns related to your child’s developmental, medical, social, and educational history, as well as physical and/or neurological examinations. 

Following the evaluation, the healthcare provider will discuss the clinical impressions with you and work with you to develop a comprehensive plan for your child and family.

To make an appointment, give us a call. Referrals are required for new patients. Please remember:

• Arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time to complete a few forms.
• Bring insurance card and photo ID (such as a driver's license).
• Bring all medications you are currently taking.
• If you must cancel your appointment, please notify us 24 hours in advance.

Patients are responsible for understanding insurance coverage benefits. Please verify that we are listed as approved providers prior to scheduling your appointment with us.
