You want the best for your child, and one of the most important decisions you will make concerns whom to trust with your child's health and wellness. Formerly known as Pediatric Associates, all of our providers are board certified and proudly follow treatment guidelines established by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Our guiding principle is to treat patients with standards of care based on sound medical research and to promote an atmosphere where you and your child know that you can discuss anything with your provider.

Our services include:

• Adolescent medicine.
• Allergy treatment.
• Annual physicals.
• Asthma treatment.
• Attention deficit disorder (ADD) diagnosis and treatment.
• Breastfeeding support and lactation consultation.
• Counseling for depression and behavior problems.
• Complex medical problems – general care in consultation with our local subspecialists.
• Developmental assessments (e.g., growth, motor, language, cognitive and social skills).
• Dietary guidance, counseling for weight control.
• Parenting advice or answers to questions.
• Health education.
• Hearing and vision testing.
• Immunizations and vaccines, including annual influenza vaccine clinic.
• Minor surgical procedures.
• Newborn care.
• Premature infant care after hospital discharge.
• Prenatal conferences.
• Preschool examinations.
• Preventive medicine.
• Screenings for health problems.

• Well-child care.

Separate sick- and well-child areas. Our office location features separate entrances, waiting areas, and patient rooms to keep sick and well patients apart as much as possible.

On-site laboratory. Having these services in-house allows the physicians to receive the results quickly, which in turn allows them to make an accurate diagnosis and determine the best course of treatment for your child.

Availability seven days a week. A provider is on call seven days a week. We also schedule same-day sick emergency visits for patients. We have appointments Monday–Thursday, 8 a.m.–6 p.m. and Friday 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. In addition, our physicians are available Saturday mornings from 9–11:30 a.m. for urgent and emergent visits.

Phone-a-nurse service. Each day, specific nurses are designated to answer parents’ calls. As a result, your call will be returned promptly, and if your child has something for which a medical protocol is in place (such as pink eye), a prescription can be called in without your needing to bring your child to the office for a visit. If the nurse and parent determine your child needs to see a physician, we will schedule a visit for the same day.

After-hours nurse triage. If your child becomes sick or injured after hours, call either practice location and speak to an on-call physician or a Children’s Hospital emergency pediatric nurse. This phone consultation is offered as a complimentary service to our patients.

Depending on the situation, the nurse can:

• Offer recommendations for parents treating the child at home
• Ask the parent to contact the office the next day to schedule a visit
• Request the parent bring the child to the Children’s Emergency Center at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital
• Page the Prisma Health Pediatrics – Simpsonville physician on call.

Children’s Hospital. Our physicians have admitting privileges at Prisma Health Children’s Hospital, the region’s only children’s hospital, with more than 30 pediatric subspecialists for consultation or treatment. Unlike specialists trained to treat adults, pediatric specialists have familiarity with childhood conditions, medication dosages and emotional needs of patients and their families.

Prenatal consultations. During your pregnancy or before adopting a child, you may schedule a complimentary 15–20 minute consultation with a pediatrician. We recommend scheduling this visit during the second trimester. Please note that the prenatal visit is not required for you to choose us as your pediatrician upon delivery.

This standard from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) assesses whether clinicians and practices support the delivery of high-quality care and are built on evidence-based, nationally recognized clinical standards of care.

• Arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time to complete a few forms.
• Bring insurance card and photo ID (such as a driver's license).
• Bring all medications you are currently taking.
• If you must cancel your appointment, please notify us 24 hours in advance.
