Comprehensive Pediatric Diabetes Program

Prisma Health Pediatric Endocrinology offers a comprehensive diabetes program centered around your child’s diabetes journey.

From the first visit with our office through young adulthood, our dedicated diabetes team works to ensure that patients and their families receive the highest level of expert care. We utilize the most advanced and newest available diabetes treatment options, research and technology.  

We are here to answer any day-to-day questions you may have, and we work closely with our local school districts to promote safe diabetes care in the school system to lessen potential disruptions to your child’s life. Our CDE team is available for diabetes related questions during regular business hours, and we have a medical provider who is on call for after hours and weekends should any emergent situations arise.

We sponsor a yearly summer camp, Camp Buddy, that takes place at Pleasant Ridge County Park in Marietta, South Carolina. This is a wonderful opportunity for our diabetes patients to bond and form relationships with other children who can relate to the daily experiences of diabetes.

We support our local Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF) chapter, who hosts local fundraising events including a walk and a yearly gala.

We also have a robust research effort through an international consortium, TrialNet, and are starting a diabetes prevention trial for qualified individuals at risk for Type 1 Diabetes.
